Okay so with my daughter i used playtex ventaire advanced and they were ok, she was never a gassy, colicy, or fussy baby..the bottles did leak everywhere sometimes and all the little parts were a pain..so now i am looking into what kind of bottle to use for my second child..ive looked into drop ins and had very mixed reviews.. what kind of bottle did you use and why?
thanks in advance :)

Dr. Browns. I love them, they rarely leak and help a lot with gas and spit up. I had to see a feeding specialist because of my sons feeding issues related to reflux and she also assured me Dr. Browns were the best choice. They do have lots of parts that need cleaning though.

I also used the ventaire advanced and they suck. The rubber part that goes in the bottom would leak after awhile and all of the water would leak out. Then i went to the playtex drop ins and i would say the only good thing about those is less cleaning as the liners are a pain in the but to push up and get air out. After stpending a lot on bottles the best bottles i found were a 3 pack of regular evenflow bottles at Walmart. My son loves these and i have no problems with them. I even cut the holes bigger as he grew instead of buying slow, medium, & large nipples and this works perfectly. If i had to go back i would have just bought 3 packs of these for $15.00 and saved all of the around $50.00 that was spent on the others. However now that he is able to hold his own bottle but hasn't quite figured out how to tip it up yet the drop in ones work great when you are driving in the car alone with a screaming hungry baby as the bags move up as he sucks so he can eat with out tipping them up. However every baby is different.

I used the playtex nursers with drop ins or liners. They were awesome and next to no air gets into baby's mouth. When you mix them and shake them, you push the bag up from underneath til the milk is at the top of the nipple and all the air is gone. I hate closed plastic bottles, and especially bottles like ventaire and avent - they leaked all over me and my baby, always!!!

I use the drop-ins with absolutely no problems at all. Best bottle of all the ones we tried and easiest too. I found ventaire to be the worst! My daughter was so gassy on them it was horrible. Never had a problem with drop-ins.

I used NUK bottles, they have a small hole in the tip of the nipple that allows air to go through before getting to babies mouth, they never leaked, the nipple was more like breast so my daughter loved it being I breastfed for the first 6 months, I had 6 of these bottles and eventually through out all the others I had because I love these so much!!!

Hi When I was phasing out breastfeeding to put my son on a bottle, he refused to accept the Advent Close to Nature bottles, it was most frustrating as i thought it was just the bottle he was not happy with. Then I tried the german make NUK bottles, he loves these and took to them from the first feed. I just used Infacol, before every feed, which helped his colic greatly.

Tommee Tippee Closer to nature. Just because i heard good reviews from them. They are pretty decent bottles. I would use them again.

I think breast is the best, but if you do plan to use a bottle dropins are nice when I have to pump we use dropins and havent had a problem! You could try to get one of each and see what works best :)

The ones attached to my chest because the milk was free, always at the right temperature, I never had to worry about steralizing anything and it was made just for my baby.
