Question:
Amusing freudian slip (or not) on my baby's Christmas gift tag - what do I do?
Baby Berry mad for mummy juice

I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

I was writing the gift tag to attach to the bag filled with gifts to my son from his Daddy & I and it dawned on me that we should perhaps keep the tag in his memory book/box so I ensured my hand writing was immacculate.

In concentrating on this task, my head went off on a mad tangent and the tag ended up reading . . .

"To Elijah
On your very First Christmas
With Much love
Mummy & Baddy"

HOW ON EARTH did that happen?

I have tried to make it look like a "D" but you can tell!

Do I
a) keep it and let him have a giggle at my madness when he's older
b) Ditch it and get some more tags tomorrow? (it was my last one!!)

Help!!

Ah keep it. That's cute!

Just the other day I was posting my daughter's birthday announcement on a myspace post and I'll be damned if I didn't spell HER name wrong! I couldn't change it either. I laugh about it now!

That is funny lol Why don't you keep it, and get a new one. Then you can have the memory for yourself, and if you want to show your son you can. Just say you had a moment! I think it is cute.

Edit: Thought of a story you can tell your child when the time comes to show him...you can just say "As I was getting your gifts together, and filling out your Christmas card, I was thinking about just how beautiful you are, and how blessed we are to have you, and I wrote B instead of D" :)

It exchange right into an exquisite time crammed with early existence thoughts.

Ditch it and get some more tags. He's not going to understand the Fruedian slip. That's something you really have to be there for to grasp and to find amusing. Keep it for yourselve for a good chuckle, but for his book, replace it.

Isn't it funny how we go crazy over the most mundane. I would get a new tag since you're going to keep it.
