My doctor said it was okay to give Tylenol.
My baby likes it when I rub a cold washcloth on his gums with firm pressure.
He also likes it with my bare finger.
Orajel is a medicine that will make the gums numb, they make it for adults and babies. It numbs the area for about 15 minutes. It seems to help for my little one.
Teething can be really miserable, I know! I hope you find something that works. :)

If he is teething, then get some Baby Orajel for his gums and follow the directions on the back of the tube for dosage. Just rub it on his gums. Most of the time, you will know if they are if it is painful for them to drink from a bottle or to breastfeed. If that doesn't work, then it could be something else. Is he eating enough? Sometimes babies cry when there intake increases. He could be having gas pains as well. Milicon drops are perfect for this and you can get them at your local drug store right near the infants Tylenol. Or just ask an employer to help you find it. Good luck with your little one! I'm sure you will figure out what's wrong soon enough.

I also wouldn't assume it's teething. Most babies don't cut their first tooth until 6-7 months old. Around 3-4 months old babies do start chewing on everything in sight and having lots & lots of drool, but there's not really pain associated with that. people blame everything on teething, and it's usually not the culprit. You can try the remedies the other mom's suggested. Other things to think about -- is your baby tired? A lot of babies cry when they're overtired. Around 8 weeks old my baby cried so hard we were considering taking her to the ER. We had no idea what was wrong with her! this happened for several nights. through trial & error we figured out she was soo tired and just needed to sleep. Also -- is it her belly? does she have gas? try mylocin. Is she giving you any other signs -- rubbing her ears? perhaps she has an ear infection. (probably NOT, as this would be unusual). If it continues I would call your doctor to hear her thoughts. in the meantime, take note of anything unusual you see. good luck!

are you sure he is teething or you think he is teething?? if he is drooling a lot, tries to put everything in his mouth even his fists, could be running a slight fever, then he is teething. but make sure that's what it is before it gets to serious. but for teething you can give him some baby orajel, get him some teething toys, my son loves the teething rings you freeze in the freezer, wet a wash cloth with cold water and put it in the freezer for a bit to make it really cold and kinda crunchy. try those things, it should work. if it doesn't then he's not teething and you need to find out whats wrong.

I dont know, my daughter has been a cry baby since birth. Some kids just cry more than others. If you think he is teething rub his gums with your clean finger, he is too young for Orajel. Forgot to add, consult your Dr. for the proper dosage of Tylenol.

You can ease his pain with orajel on his gums (if he is teething) Or a small dose of tylenol (you may want to call his pediatrician to get the proper dose for his size/weight/height/age) also if he is teething.
Make sure its not gas, you can try gas drops or gripe water if this is the case.
Take his temp. to make sure nothing else is bothering him.
If he is teething let him chew on something cold.

There are gel-filled teething rings that you can put in the frig or freezer. Very soothing.
Don't assume it's teething, tho, especially since he's so young. Check for fever or tummy ache. Put him tummy down across your knee and rub his back. Mostly, lots of snuggles.

Don't worry, he/she is teething, give he/she something to chew on, like a baby rattle...
