My list
Crib (mattress and bedding), stroller, car seat, high chair, diapers, diaper genie, onesies, bath stuff (bathtub, facecloths, baby wash) pj's, socks, baby hats, playpen (pack n play) baby clothes, bottles, pacifiers, baby swing, soft toys, receiving blankets, baby monitor, breast pump. What else do I need for a newborn? I have limited space so any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Much of the stuff I already have is space-saving.

if you go online to google and type in "newborn checklist" or something of that nature you will find hundreds of websites with checklists of what you absolutley will need and things you might want to have as well. wipes mylicon drops tylenol drops swing or bouncer is a nessecity because it soothes baby alot if you have limited space might i suggest the boppy rock in comfort travel swing i also have limited space and OMG its the best swing ever and it folds up so nicely you can stick it right into a closet a diaper bag if you are having a boy you will need petroleum jelly for his circumscision if he is getting one alchohol wipes or a bottle of alchohol with some cotton swabs for the umbilical chord q tips grooming kit baby nail clippers baby mittens is also a must they scratch the crap out of their faces when they are little, also a traveling lotion kit will help out alot it has lotion powder baby wash and shampoo also diaper rash cream in it in small little bottles perfect for the diaper bag you might want to buy a bulb syringe thing, they give you one at the hossy but its nice to have two one for your diaper bag and one for your house make sure to get 2 or 3 preemie outfits just in case to pack in your hospital bag in case you have a small baby but keep the receipt and dont take the tags off you can always return them for newborn clothes if you have a big baby but its always nice to be prepared!! q tips are nice to have for the baby's nose when they have bogers around the edge instead of having to dig at them with that bulb thing you can just swipe it out with a q tip. if you are planning to breastfeed i would get a nursing wrap a boppy pillow(absolute lifesaver) and some lansinoh for your nipples also breast pads disposable are the easiest to use from my experiences these are just things i can think of off the top of my head but like i said you could google it and find all kinds of info good luck and congrats on your baby they are so much fun i have a 4 year old daughter and a 6 day old son good luck!!

It's expensive, but I don't know an exact dollar amount/month. I like the playtex bottles b/c if one gets "lost" and you find it a week later all you have to do is throw away the liner. A swing is necessary, car seat, exersaucer, crib those are all necessary. Bouncer isn't really necessary. You'll need a good high chair and stroller. Diapers and wipes of course. One thing I did to off set costs a little was to buy a package of diapers in different sizes once a week while I was expecting. After the first year it gets less expensive. You're baby will come off of formula and on to whole milk. That's a huge savings. If you have any questions, you can email me. Good Luck.

Excluding the obvious like diapers, car seat, bottles, etc, I would say you can never have enough onesies and socks. Those onesies get dirty pretty quickly, especially with a newborn. The more the better so you are not constantly washing.

You sound pretty good, as we are. I know I need a swing, but am waiting for one my friend is giving me. I feel we are pretty set, so will now wait until the baby comes to see what else (The little things) I will tell you what you DONT need...A diaper genie, trust me, it is a wate of money, just save the plastic bags from the grocery store, wrap a dirty diaper in that and throw it away. This is my third, so I kind of know now what I truly need, and what I dont. Good luck.

My own necessities: car seat, diapers (cloth), onesies, mittens, breast pump, a sling, bassinet, books, and a stockpile of meds: Tylenol, Motrin, Mylicon, Vapor Rub, Benadryl, etc... basically, if it says "infants" on it, I have it just in case.

Well, I am a dad who pretty much takes care of my two toddlers. I have to say to invest in the following:

**Bottle brushes to clean babas and sippy cups.

**Destin and baby sized Q-tips.

**Wipes

**Baby shampoo and bath foam

**Night lights

**Extra diapers for those weeks where they go all the time

**Humidifier

**A boppy pillow for you to use when nursing

**Pacifiers to give your breast a break

**Instrumental CD's for bed time

You seem pretty set. I really would invest in a bottle sterilizer if you are going to use bottles. I had one and I loved it!

Also, get a lot of baby face cloths!! I used them for burping and cleaning up spit up. They are the perfect size.

Greetings!

Well, you've got the "material" stuff down, now here this. As a 42 yr. old mom of a 23 yr. old (and I have 2 grandchildren) LOVE, LOVE and MORE LOVE. You can never give a child enough of that.

Sounds like you have it all to me. You can't go wrong with having plenty of diapers and wipes around. Also gas medicine is a MUST!!

i think you have everything you don't need half the stuff people buy for babys and if you don't have the space don't bother.maybe some scrtch mittens would come in handy as they scatch their faces no matter how much you cut their nails.nail clippers to the nails grow fast.

What about bottle cleaning equipment? A cot mobile, nappie sacks.
