That's exactly how old my children are.....Spend quality time with the children and discipline appropiately. Learn to love those kids, it'll be better for you and the children in the long run. Also, plan fun activities that you can do together! Check out familyfun.com!

Also, if you're babysitting at their home, clean up a little bit...the parents will be thrilled with you! And also, they will be good references for the future.

I once paid someone to watch them for me while I worked...I'm a single parent....and when I got home the house was trashed!!! I was sooooo p*ssed! Needless to say, she never sat for me before!

Just watch them closely. Read to them and interact alot with them. Find out what they do know and you can also become like a teacher. Children love to learn. Play games with them. With the one yr old help her/his eye hand coordination with Lego's or similar toys. Arts and craft are great for the 3yr old. Help with numbers and letters. They love to see their names. help with that.

I have seen babysitting classes offered. You may want to check around locally to see if there are any in your area.

Take the Red Cross course. They give you a certificate and teach you emergency medical stuff and other things it is helpful to know.

try taking the red cross baby sitting course, it's an awesome way to gain parent's trust and to know what to do in a sticky situation.

Never ever let them out of your sight. Give water instead of sweetened drinks. Nap time means no talking. Read to them!
