I was 41 weeks and 4 days and was induced and still no luck she wanted to stay in forever it seemed like ha ha. No I yo le say most first time moms are overdue. Although 2 of my friends were 8 months and 7 months along when they had theirs but there was other things going on. If your healthy and not overdueing yourself and lifting crazy heavy things most likely will be right around that due date! Yay congrads mommy to be

I've heard the opposite! I was induced a few days AFTER my due date with my first baby.

It is absolutely untrue. I would anticipate your baby arriving close to the due date- and anywhere from two weeks before to two weeks after is considered a normal range.

Actuallu first time moms are averaged at giving birth at 41 weeks instead of 40, the body takes longer to prepare for labour when you haven't had a baby before.

But being a first time mom you may not be able to notice labour signals and get yourself to the hospital in time to stop the contractions.

I never had false labour, but I gave birth to my son at 38.5 weeks. He was considered full term at almost 7lbs and fully developed.

So no, thats a myth, it's not true

I'm a first time mom and already 8 1/2 months with no sign of labor yet. I don't think that's true. I've heard most first time moms go past their due date.

It depends on when the baby is ready, it depends on the woman/baby. One person may give birth early, whilst another goes in late. Prepare yourself because you don't know when you will go into labour, but you may not.

I know more first time moms who have gone past their due dates than ones who have delivered early. Most 2nd, 3rd babies etc come a little sooner.

The majority of first pregnancies ive heard of were all late.

In fact the opposite is true. Majority of first time moms go over their due date. Of course this isn't always true. A baby will come when ready but don't get your hopes up that the baby will come early. That way if it doesn't happen you won't be upset. Good luck!

that's rubbish. the majority of mums give birth either 2 weeks before, or 2 weeks after their estimated due date, only 4% go on their due date.

I was a first time mum and went 2 days before my due date.

my mum had 3 babies and 2 out of 3 where born on their estimated due date.
