How many times do you just want to throw it out the window?!

I would love to throw ours out the window. Too bad it cost like 400 dollars! But seriously! He is addicted to that stupid thing! Could be worse, I know!

What does your husband/SO do that you wish he didn't do, or at least did less often?

OMG, its like his best friend. I used to get REALLY mad about it when I was pregnant and wanted to just watch TV with him, but he would be playing stupid XBOX all friggin day! Well, until I got ahold of Fable II. Love to play that game myself.

Nowadays I wish my SO would get a job so that he could support me and our son, so that I could move back down to portland and have my little family like its supposed to be instead of me living with my parents and him living with his. He's such a loser. It's cool though, I gave him til November (I know its a long time, but I just want him to have a chance) and then he's going to lose me, no matter how much it hurts. I already have a baby to take care of, I don't need another one that's 27 yrs old. LOL sorry, feels good to let it out sometimes, and since you asked.....

We had an XBox, and we sold it on Craiglist because my husband was curious about the Wii. Now he wants the XBox again, lol

But we usually play World of Warcraft together, it's a relatively cheap way to spend a few evenings together leveling up together instead of going out on a date...heh

He doesn't play the Wii as much, but he was playing Resident Evil for a while, and sometimes it got a bit annoying, especially when I was like..."Let's go here" or "let's do this" and he would say, "Okay , when I'm done with ___(enter excuse here)___"

I wish my husband would actually put his dirty clothes in the laundry instead of throwing it in with the clean clothes. Bugs me!!

YES! x-box, x-box 360, playstation2, playstation 3, and the wii! I hate them all. My 17 yr old is the same with the 360 and the ps2, and my 10 yr old daughter with the ps2, the wii, and the dsi!!! They are even working onmy 2 yr old, they got him some little hand held game. I swear they have spent thousands on the systems then the games!!! Oh but wait, x-box is releasing something called project natal or something like that. I secretely wish we would get robbed! Just kidding!

But I can't stand all the games around here and all the kids and grown men kids hanging around all the time upstairs and downstairs!

My husband is on his xbox 360 as much as I'm on here... though if he has xbox live you should try playing 1 vs 100 with him.. its like a live gameshow on the weekends that asks trivia questions and I think its really fun and something we can do together...

Something very funny and yet embarrasing: We moved from Ohio to Utah for school last summer and I was pregnant and had already gotten a stroller and carseat... well on the drive from Ohio to Utah like 26 hours.. he strapped his xbox in the empty carseat and said that it was his baby until Lydia came... *rolls eyes*

I know this is usually something people dont ***** about, but my husband works waaayyy to much. Im talking like 70-80 hours a week. We have a year old daughter and he has missed everything. Im surprised he even got time off to be there for her birth!! All of her first holidays, first words, first steps.... everything. Its really sad.

He says its for the money, but I think he enjoys being out of the house, away from the craziness, doing something he actually likes. (while he hangs out with his friends.) Its always more than casual there.

I would actually enjoy him sitting in front of the tv playing games. Better than him sleeping or being at work. He devotes about 32 hours a week to playing with his daughter and trying to get in my pants. Yawn... men can be a real pain in the ***.

I'm pretty lucky from what I gather. My husband bought a Wii and had played it maybe twice. He is always doing things around the house or with us girls, or working. I lucked out in the husband department.

But, I do wish he would be a bit more serious at times. It seems like no matter what I want to talk about, he has to make a joke, even if it is serious. But, I knew that when I married him. :)

You can throw my fiance's PS3 out the window too!! He just bought a trivia game that he came home and told me he would absolutely love and so it was that the two of us could use his PS3. He's played 3 times with me and when I asked him tonight to play he politely said "but I need to play my other game and baby I love you but you're not that good so its kinda boring beating you all the time" So I let him go on that and gave myself some Mommy time!

Oh and you might get a laugh out of this. My sister and I have old school original playstation games that we play. Well we have one game really that we play over and over when she comes home from out of state- kind of a tradition. Well of course being the nice girlfriend I called and asked for permission to use his PS3 instead of the old playstation. Now I'm not "allowed" to use it because when I turned it off from the paddles I forgot to turn off the back of it. He insisted I was going to burn it out.

My hubby plays

however, I never get the urge to throw it

I wish he would play more often

the poor man never really takes time to himself

he goes to work (military), comes home to spend time with his son and I

...men need to relax, they need "guy time"

and my husband doesn't seem to understand that, when he's stressed he should go out

I feel like I have to beg him to hang out with his friends because he doesn't want to leave his family

I know if he doesn't spend sometime on his own stuff, he'll start to resent us down the road

So when I see him playing his xbox360, I just make him a snack and leave him alone

I know I would see things differently if he played it more often than he does

but my hubby doesn't really know how to put himself before others

Besides never taking time to relax, the one thing he does that annoys me is probably when I go out of my way to intiate sex but he doesn't notice

Like, I don't know how I could be any more blunt, but he can be clueless at times

Hubby has a PS3, he's playing it right now. He'll go back and forth between that and the computer.

Oh yeah one thing that he does that annoys the living eff out of me is that he leaves things open. He'll leave the dresser drawers open, the cupboard doors, the medicine cabinet, etc. It's so irritating.

okay I am so happy that I am not the only one with a bf that plays video games. My fiance plays the ps3 for hours on end, with the volume full blast. Leaving me to do everything. lol. I would absolutely love to throw that damn thing out the window!
2009-07-10 21:45:27 UTC
No, we don't own any video game consoles...

This is shocking, even to me now that I think about it, but he really doesn't have any bad habits or addictions.

No video games

No alcohol

No drugs or smoking

Doesn't go out with friends all the time

Not a gambler

Not addicted to tv

He spends time studying, he's a student, and reading, and he builds robots in his free time, but hasn't done much since Maverick was born.

He's a pretty decent guy.

But, just because I can't put my finger on one specific thing he does that annoys me, doesn't mean he doesn't annoy me, because he certainly does.

OH!!! He trims his toenails on my coffee table! Its sick. I have always done mine over the toilet, but he does his on the coffee table (he then vacuums it up) but still, its sick.

And he wears his boxers 2 days (possibly more) in a row sometimes, I have had to remind him to change them. He showers, but then puts the dirties back on.

AND he leaves tissues from clean up of his "alone with his hand" time on the bedroom floor instead of trashing them. Like I seriously want to pick that up. Sick. TMI, sorry girls.

My son in law was like this. Basically my daughter put all games systems away and said until you can understand your addiction plug in to me and famo;y then I am taking them. He let her so then he started on computer. Finally she took it to work. He now has it back but he also learned to do other things and enjoy her. He was mad at first but she said us or the games. After about 3 months he got it back, He palys but he also knows help out and see whats going on and then get on but set a time limit, It worked well but took a little while. Good luck!!

Works on his car endlessly!!! He's obsessed with lighting up the interior with LED bulbs so that it glows inside. I'll admit that it does look good, but my god it is taking forever to be "perfect"

Also, he constantly leaves the butter, ketchup, mustard, anything like that out on the counter after hes done with it rather than put it back in the fridge!! That one, I think he does because he knows it drives me absolutely nuts.

And he doesn't play xbox, he plays his Playstation 3 lol

no thank god but he did by a game cube like 2 years ago and played it like twice then it sat there forever and we just started using it again a few months ago. we bought a boxing game and fight each other sometimes. it is pretty fun bonding time. my friends husband plays world of warcraft from the moment he gets home and all weekend even eats in front of the computer. i think i would go nuts if i was her.
2009-07-10 22:11:35 UTC
No thank God. His brother is addicted to that bloody thing, as well as stuff like that 'Guitar Hero' and 'Dungeons and Dragons' computer game, I think it's called? His wife is always yelling at him to 'get off that God damn machine!'

I would kill my man if he was in to that stuff, it's so loud, annoying and time consuming.

That being said, his vice is going down the pub - I think I'd be happier if he wouldn't do that as often!

No, he plays the Wii every now and then. Usually just when his friends come over

What does he do that I wish he didn't? hm......

I guess he falls asleep really fast

haha

And it just pisses me off sometimes because I often have trouble falling asleep

Im tossing and turning and he is laying there snoring haha

Other then that, he is usually pretty good. Can't be perfect. He is just a boy after all

He's hooked on Xbox and Wii. Drives me nuts, but then there's times when I just need "me time" so I'll be like "Go play Call of Duty and leave me alone!" He never argues.

My daughters father was just like this.

He used to play it ALL the time and get so frustrated with it too!

It annoyed me so much, because he was always in a bad mood if he 'lost' at his game. And also in such a happy, loving mood if he won!

Its funny how a game alone could influence his mood as much as it did.
2009-07-10 21:54:42 UTC
I am actually a little jealous of my bf and the wii. We used to play all the time, but now with the baby I'm usually breastfeeding the baby while he plays a game. He says we could play while she naps, but then I would rather do...'IT' *wink wink* rather than play a game. So I guess other than that...nothing really.

Yupp , he has an XBOX.

He isnt nearly as addicted as he used to be, he rarely touches it anymore. He just loves to watch TV and I am like lets get out and get some air.

My ex-husband played XBox and PS2 all the time. My last serious boyfriend played GameCube all the time. My current boyfriend is thankfully not into video games. He owns a GameCube but I have never seen him play it.

No, he was super sheltered as a child and wouldn't even know how to run a super nintendo or nintendo 64. He is obsessed with watching dumb videos on youtube though.

Yes. He plays constantly. In fact, he is playing right now. I am seriously considering slathering the box in pornographic stickers. Only then can it be his one true love.

Yes, he plays it only when our son is sleeping, and hardly ever. He goes in spurts. I don't mind at all because it's not really a habit for him.
