Whats the length/height limit for the Chicco Keyfit [not the 30] carseat? We have already switched Brody to a convertible seat but we use the Chicco in his grandmas car, he is now 27 inches and i just want to make sure he isnt to tall to be in the seat because if so i need to buy another convertible seat for grandmas car.

Hi - basically, the weight limit on a carseat is a firm number, you cannot go above it. The height max is a bit more gray - but all kids are different - some have length in their legs where others are in their torso.

When you sit him in the seat, he needs to have at least 1" of head room between his head and the top of the shell of the seat.

What I would suggest is buying an inexpensive convertible carseat for grandma's car - you'll have to eventually - mine as well now. The Cosco Scenera or the Safety 1st Avenue are good inexpensive options. The Avenue has EPS foam and will last a little big longer as it has a taller top harness height.

Not sure about the length limit, but I'm pretty sure the weight limit is 22 pounds. I checked the website and babiesrus.com not that long ago and no length limit was listed. My daughter is 10 months, 28 inches and 18 pounds and we will be a buying a convertible carseat this weekend. Not only is she very heavy in the infant seat, but her little feet stick out now.

For the $280 price tag of the over-rated Britax, you could get the newer model of the Sunshine Kids Radian 80. This seat will harness to 80 pounds, and is a steel frame. The older Radian 65 is as heap as the Britax you are looking at. In any regard, remember to keep them rear-facing to at least age two. Mine RF to the ages of 3 and the middle child at age 4, big boy #3 looks like he will be 3 and turn around then.
