THANK YOU SO MUCH

• Hepatitis B: I don't have hepatitis B, and my kids aren't going to have sex or inject illegal drugs anytime soon.

•Rotavirus: I can handle my kids getting diarrhea, what I can't handle is giving my kids an unstudied pig virus that's lethal to baby pigs. (The viral contaminant PCV2 was found in the rotavirus vaccine earlier this year) I also couldn't handle it if my baby got intussusception, a fatal intestinal twisting that the rotavirus vaccine can cause.

•Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis: Practically zero cases of diphtheria per year in the U.S. About 30 cases of tetanus per year, and of those 30 or so people, it's more common in older adults and heroin users. The case fatality rate is about 10%, so annually, about 3 people die of tetanus in the U.S. Most pertussis deaths are in infants under 3 months old. Even if it works at all, (more on that later), the vaccine doesn't confer immunity until 3 doses are completed, no earlier than 6 months old. Pertussis is not dangerous past 6 months old. My 2 1/2 year old had pertussis, and it was annoying, but not a huge deal. In fact, once I learned about treating with sodium ascorbate, (a type of vitamin C), the symptoms quickly improved. Infants can also be given sodium ascorbate as a treatment for pertussis. The pertussis vaccine is very ineffective. Here's some good information about it. http://www.nvic.org/NVIC-Vaccine-News/July-2010/Whooping-Cough-Outbreaks-Vaccine-Failures.aspx

•Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) Breastfed babies have always been at a much lower risk for this. And Hib just isn't very common anymore.

•Pneumococcal (PCV) Big problem with serotype replacement, where other bacteria, often more dangerous, just take the place of the bacteria that is vaccinated against. I've heard it touted as an "ear infection" vaccine. But my never vaccinated kids have NEVER had an ear infection, whereas vaccinated kids just seem to get them all the time. Ear tubes are considered normal these days.

•Inactivated Poliovirus:You already said it.

•Influenza: Most available doses contain a large amount of mercury. My kids can handle the flu.

•Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Three live viruses at once, the single vaccines are no longer available. A lot of kids have regressed into illness and autism after this one, but most likely because of prior immune suppression with other vaccines. These diseases are not serious. One of my kids had measles at age 2. He required no treatment whatsoever, just rest and water. Mumps is an even bigger joke of a vaccine. When it first came out, people laughed about it like they did about the chickenpox vaccine. Of course, now, a lot of people have been brainwashed into being terrified of chickenpox, just as most people have been with mumps. Rubella is so mild in children that most don't have any symptoms at all. If my daughter wants to get the vaccine as an adult before she gets pregnant, that will be her choice. Although if she doesn't naturally catch it in the first 20 or so years of her life, it would be pretty unlikely that she would catch it in any 9 month period of time.

•Varicella (Chickenpox) I have to laugh at this vaccine. My kids have both had chickenpox. My son was too young to remember, but he didn't seem bothered by it. My daughter has fond memories of movies and ice cream and sympathy from mommy and daddy. She also likes the Arthur (cartoon) episode where the characters get chickenpox. (The episode was made before the vaccine came out).

•Hepatitis A: I hope my kids have already had this, or will get it during childhood. The CDC says that in children under 6 years, 70% of hepatitis A cases are asymptomatic--no symptoms at all! http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/downloads/hepa.pdf It's more serious as an adult, but I've never gotten the vaccine, never will, and have worried about the disease for exactly zero seconds.

•Meningococcal: This is for adolescents and adults. College students living in dorms are more likely than the general population to get it. But the risk is still very low.

•HPV: http://www.truthaboutgardasil.org This seems to be an especially dangerous vaccine. And the testing and approval process was rife with conflicts of interest.

The HPV vaccine does not cover all HPV strains, so women need to use condoms anyway. Cervical cancer is very slow growing, and precancerous changes can easily be detected in time with pap smears every year or every other year.

My son had a very bad reaction to his two month shots, so we have not given him anymore. We are still deciding when and if he will receive any of them.

As you can see, lies and disinformation generally.

Diphtheria is rare because of vaccination.

There is no link between MMR and autism.

The truthaboutgardasil website is full of lies.

Their position is not based on evidence. VAERS reports are not data. There was a report that the influenza vaccine turned a person into the incredible hulk.

Edit: Note that measles is the 6th most deadly infectious disease in the world (4th highest single agent). It is not a joke.

Lisa claim about the Th2 response she actually got from me, which is funny because I also pointed out why it was wrong. It doesn't fit the data.

The hygiene hypothesis is the much more likely likely, although more recent data shows diet is also important.

Edit: They eventually removed the hulk claim. It was odd enough they actually looked into it. It was made to prove a point. VAERS reports are not vetted in anyway. They are not data and cannot be used as such by anyone with a modicum of honesty.

Also your link is not to the actual database, but to an anti-vaccine propaganda agency.

The vaccine-allergy claim was discredited. I explained the rationale behind the hypothesis and then provided the papers with the data that disproved it, yet you continue to make this claim. This is unsurprising given your rampant dishonesty.

Edit: Now I'm not sure if you are being incompetent or dishonest.

A report submitted to VAERS is not vetted, thus the hulk one made it through. However they do actually bother to look at them, which is why the hulk one was removed.

Stop lying.

There is no specific reason for EACH separate vaccine. I don't give him any of them all for the same reasons. It has nothing to do with the inactive viruses that are put in them, it has to do with all the other chemicals, preservatives, and God knows what else could be in them.
