Ok so I have a 3 months old baby girl, and she started to lift her head up while she was one her belly like a month ago. She was always doing that and now she doesnt want to anymore. When I put her on her belly, she puts her arms on the side of her body and pushes herself with her leg on the side and than her back. So she rolls over already. So is that means she wont crawl? Cz every time i put her on her belly she rolls over...i even put her arms "up" by her head...but no...

Don't worry. She'll crawl. Right now she's just learned how to roll so that's ALL she wants to do. Eventually she'll learn how to roll the other way and that's ALL she'll do until it is mastered. That's how it is for all milestones. She's still young. My 5.5 month old hasn't started crawling yet and has only learned recently how to roll from tummy to back, although mastered back to tummy weeks ago. Yours seems to be right on track.
Hmmm, let me think

Rolling over at that age is great. Some babies don't roll over until 4 or even 5 months old. At 3 months, you should not expect your baby to crawl. Crawling is a skill that usually doesn't happen until after 6 months. Some babies may crawl earlier then that, and some babies may crawl months after that. Your baby sounds right on track. No need to worry. I have personally never seen a 3 month old that could crawl. Keep up with tummy time so she can strengthen those muscles, and she will probably begin crawling in the months to come.

My boy is 9.5 months and still not crawling. He does "scoot on his butt to get around and he is standing though. I believe he will skip crawling. In the "What to Expect the First Year" book, they say that crawling should not be a milestone that we use to judge whether babies are on target. Because the timeframe that babies crawl is such a large window. And then there are some who skip it entirely and go straight to walking. Your baby is only 3 months, and that is too early to know or be concerned. Give her lots of hugs and kisses, and she will be fine! Have fun! Ironically my son started rolling over at just 3 weeks, so it just goes to show you never know what or when they will do things.

No that doesn't mean she wont crawl, it just means she learned something new... my son hated rolling over and hated laying on his belly, so I thought "how will he ever crawl if he wont get on his belly?" Then I learned that my son didn't start crawling by laying on his belly, he started crawling by sitting up, he would sit up and then he would get on his hands and knees... Every baby is different and they all learn to do things in their own little ways, your might not even crawl, some dont, that doesn't mean they are behind that just means they have a different way to get around.

Don't be worried, she'll crawl when the time's right. My son actually started rolling from tummy to back at 8 weeks, and tummy time was near impossible after that. I was worried he wouldn't learn to crawl given that he was never on his tummy, and he hated tummy time so much, but he still did! Once he started sitting on his own (4 1/2 months) and became more agile, being able to go from laying to sitting etc, he decided he liked being on his tummy again and crawled around 7 months. So I wouldn't worry about it at all :-)

She will start crawling soon enough just give her a lil time. She will start getting into everything.Every baby is different. My nephews that are 3 days apart while one had already learned how to sit up and crawl on his hands and legs ( the younger one). The other only used his arms to pull himself around and could not sit up by himself.

Emma rolled belly to back at 8 weeks. She hated being on her belly. She started rolling around everywhere at 5 months....she could literally get anywhere by rolling. She crawled at 8 months.

I know a little baby that took about 10 months to start crawling. You can't get him to stop now. He learned to stand in the same week too. Your baby is definitely creative to roll over every time. She is probably just more comfortable on her back. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Some babies just learn everything at once when it clicks. She is fine, maybe just a little lazy. I would be too if I didn't have to lift my head.

Honestly, your baby should be trying to lift her head up still.

Have you contacted your doctor?

Your baby wont be ready to crawl though for like another 3 months.

Babies aren't expected to crawl until 6 to 12 months.

Do not worry.

Make sure your daughter is getting the right nutrition, and give your doctor a call and see what he/she thinks for your baby. Better to catch on to something early than not at all.

Yes she will eventually crawl. She may do other things first but eventually she will crawl. Some kids are in a hurry to walk some aren't.

Let her do what she wants to. The more she moves around the more she will be likely to crawl soon.

Emma rolled belly to back at 8 weeks. She rolled back to belly at 16 weeks and continued rolling from there. By 5 months she could roll all over the house.

She's too young to crawl. Rolling over a little early will not affect her crawling.

Patience my friend,

Rolling over is a BIG deal so just enjoy that and soon in the next couple of months she will start to crawl and then that will be the next BIG deal.

ITs so neat ! :)

she is just learing to roll over, so its a big step for her. she will still crawl, 3 months is just way too young to start crawling. give it till about 6.

It doesn't mean anything. She'll get it all down pat eventually. My wife and I worried about my son's ability to hold up his head -- we have a picture of him called "Tummy Time" and he has his face flat on his changing pad. That's how it was until about 4 months, and now he's 2 and smart as a whip.

keep in mind she is ONLY 3 months old.. some babies crawl faster than other ... i think that you should let me go at her own pace and not rush her cause it will only frustrate you and her as well

She is only 3 months old - do you expect her to hop up and dance already? What she is doing is normal for this age.
