Music has been proven to help develop a child's brain. Starting from the mother's belly if a child is exposed to music he tends to be more open to learning new things. I did it for my oldest daughter and she is 9 an honor roll student, karate student and baseball little league player.

Listening to music helps babies use different parts of their brains that are only affected by things like music. It helps them learn to pick up patterns and use multiple parts of their brain at the same time because they are listening to and therefore processing different instruments and tones all at the same time.

My kids seemed to like it. I was 5.5 months pregnant when I went to listen to a band that I liked. My son must have liked it as well. He was kicking to the beat of the music. It was very funny to feel and watch. Listen away. Both my kids love music and we listened to it all the time.

In a positive way. I used (and still do) use classical music in our home to create a calm atmosphere.
