Disgusting, what a nut.

For people to lazy to check out the link, her favorite parenting moment was chopping up her kids penis. What are your views on circumcision? Do you think this is weird as well?

Thanks.

Yeah, gee. That kid would have been so much better off without her... being raised in a crack den by parents who didn't want him. I bet he wouldn't have been circumcised, because they wouldn't have paid for it. He also probably wouldn't have good food, vaccinations or a proper education, but he'd have that penis intact! Being adopted by Sandra Bullock is pretty much the worst thing that could have happened to him.

"It is a fundamental principle of international law, as well as the mark of every civilized community, that discrimination is unlawful. Interpretations of human rights law that recognize FGM but not MGM as violations infringe on equal protection principles enshrined in national and international law. Female circumcision is, rightly, a criminal offence in almost every country even when "religious duty" is claimed; there can be no justification for not extending the same protection to boys. All forms of sexual cutting of children are profoundly damaging, whether male or female. To suggest that only female circumcision be regarded as in breach of the various conventions on human rights denies the medical evidence as to the pain, risks and sexual dysfunction from infant male circumcision. It argues for the formalization of discrimination against these male children on the grounds of their sex, race and the religious beliefs of the family into which they are born. Human rights principles are absolute, not subject to balancing in the scales of international justice relative to other violations.

The presence of and tolerance for infant male circumcision in our societies harms us all. Male infants need our protection from unnecessary surgery. To contemplate a ban on non-ritual, non-therapeutic circumcision, while allowing ritual circumcision, would be a prohibited discrimination against a group of boys on the grounds of their parents' religion. These infants will always have the choice to be circumcised later in life, if they so choose to do as a sign of their faith. At that point, at least, it is their own decision and not one that has been imposed irreversibly upon them."

It does seem to be a strange way to protect her son's health if she isn't Jewish but Hollywood stars are all a little eccentric aren't they. At least he gets a lifetime of health benefits, a better looking penis, and a rich loving mother.

It isn't genital mutilation at all. It looks better and feels better sexually for men when they grow up.

It also isn't chopping up her kids penis but rather just removing an unsightly flap of skin off it.

I think she is creepy, ignorant or both.

A whole range of sensation and sexual and protective function are lost. The lips and fingertips have similar touch sense. To take this away from another person without their consent is heinous.

I think that's disgusting. I did wonder about her sanity.

I can understand how Jewish or Muslim people can be proud of that. I still think it's sick, but if it's part of their culture I understand it. But it's not the case for her. So how can it be the PROUDEST?! That is sick. She said proudest moment of her life, not proudest parent moment, which is even weirder. Even if you think circumcision is a good thing that's still sick. And even if it is your proudest moment, it's still sick to tell the news! That I think is the worst thing. People say we're crazy for wondering about her mental state, but she invited us too when she informed the news. How will the kid feel? It's treating him like an object.

I think it's crazy that she had a jewish bris for her son even though she isn't jewish!!!!

Dr Momma does a good job on exposing her possible motives for a senseless act:

Anything else I'd add would just be repeating what this article says.

Lol @Preemie mom! I'd have to agree that your time and energy would be better spent worrying about the kids who are neglected or abused, rather than a little boy adopted by a wealthy and talented woman who can give him every opportunity in the world. Priorities!!!

edit - nobody has to "wonder about her mental state". I don't dedicate a lot of time thinking about childrens' penises. It totally creeps me out that people are so obsessed with this subject.

Yes, my son was circumcised. He had a local anesthetic and a 10 second procedure, and he slept through the whole thing. Anybody who thinks this is horribly gruesome is just giving into media sensationalism. It is not a big deal.

I think it's depraved. Anyone who does that to a child needs locking up. I haven't been able to watch one of her movies since I heard about this. It's sick. No one with any sense does that to kids anymore.

So let me get this straight. (tori anderson) You think it's creepy that thoughtful people are concerned that thousands of kids are getting mutilated daily?

Logic flaw.

Genital mutilators support genital mutilation, we get it.

Sickos.

Why are you so worried about what other people do with their children?
