Im starting to get really worried... I've been doctoring with my daughter all week finally Friday they gave me something to clear her pink eye but the respiratory part of this "viral" infection keeps getting worse, she still isn't eating well, she can't sleep every time she lays down she coughs to the point she throws up you can just hear junk in her chest I feel so bad and no doctor seems concerned about my baby... she's 7 months old is there anything major I should be watching for? Im terrified this is going to turn out to be something serious and none of these doctors cared. If she wakes up in the morning and still isn't any better I'm definitely taking her back to the ER

Let her sleep upright on you to help the drainage and take her back in the morning. It's really scary when your baby is sick and you don't feel like the doctors care. Call your advice nurse for suggestions.

Did they check her oxygen levels (a little thing they attached to her finger?) - if the numbers were okay, that's probably why they sent her home. If you tell them that it gets worse when she sleeps they may want to keep her to monitor it while she's sleeping to see if she's getting enough oxygen while she sleeps. My daughter was hospitalized with RSV because even after they gave her albuterol breathing treatments her oxygenation levels didn't come up. After her numbers improved, they sent us home with a nebulizer so we could do breathing treatments at home.

Edit: While I sympathize with you about having a doctor's office run by "complete idiots" - their advice is still better than what you'll find of YA. (Been there too - I signed out of the hospital 24hrs. after a c-section because the pediatrician at the hospital wouldn't answer his page and the nurses were too busy and I just because I was a new mom they ignored my concerns. I took my NB to his private pediatrician and he was diagnosed with failure to thrive and got immediate help.) You're right in saying that her condition can quickly worsen, so I'd definitely take her back to be re-evaluated if you think she's not improving.

When my oldest son was 6 mos old he was hopitalized with RSV. His main symptom was that he was having a horrible time breathing. He was in the hospital for about 3-4 days and hasn't had any problems associated with it since.

I think you are right I'd call the doctor or go to the ER in the morning or maybe tonight depending on how things went.

Good luck I know it's hard when babies are sick.

Hun cling in there your toddler is interior the suited place he would be actual now. My son had RSV at 13 months. It became terrible he became interior the well-being midsection for 2 weeks. he's 8 now and in suited well-being. He had bronchial asthma for his first 365 days of existence and as quickly as he had RSV he never had warning signs of bronchial asthma returned. So i think RSV cured the bronchial asthma. cling in there it gets greater helpful. they're going to deliver you living house with a SVN device you will could provide him some remedies an afternoon for some month. good success

it's very common & often spread by poor handwashing -make a change & start washing the family's hands better. use the nebulizer for her EXACTLY as directed -this will save a trip to the ER. use the bulb syringe with saline drops more often, run a vaporizer in the home, elevate the mattress of the crib or have her sleep with you, give her plenty of water, and follow up with the pulmonologist.
