It's that time again- dinner time! What are you having for dinner tonight moms? Not sure what we are having. But lastnight we tried a new recipe that I really liked! We had extra hamburger and no clue what to make. It sounds nasty but it's really simple and yummy! It just taste kinda like a hamburger lol.

Share your yummy recipes moms! Whats something that is good for the entire family and your baby(s) ??

Cheeseburger Rice
1 lb. lean ground beef
1-3/4 cups water
2/3 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
2 cups instant white rice, uncooked
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

BROWN meat in large skillet on medium-high heat; drain.

ADD water, ketchup and mustard; mix well. Bring to boil.

STIR in rice. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 min. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 min. Stir.

Tonight we are doing BLT sandwiches and chips for daddy and I. I'll probably make macaroni salad as well so my daughter will get some of that along with her formula.

ETA: Me too! Plus it is 96 degrees here and I'm not in the mood to cook something that takes a long time and is hot lol

If the husband comes home before dinner, I'm going to try to talk him into taking us out to eat. If not I'll make a simple pasta salad with what I have on hand. The basic recipe I use:

-1 box whole grain rottini pasta, cooked as directed and rinsed with cold water

-1 zucchini, sliced about 1/4 inch thick and then sliced into 4's

-1/2 a green bell pepper

-about 1/2 cup (more if you like) diced red onion

-Sliced black olives

-about 1/4 cup sliced tomato

-Extra virgin olive oil

-White vinegar

-Salt and pepper

-Dash of garlic powder

Throw the veggies in a big bowl. Coat with equal parts oil and vinegar, or change up to match your tastes. Add pasta and more oil and vinegar, until coated. Mix in salt, pepper, and garlic powder. And you're done!

The good part about this easy salad is that you can substitute whatever veggies you like or have on hand. I've done it with fresh (raw) broccoli and red and yellow bell peppers, and it's always good.

the little one had Zucchini, which he LOVED!!!

Daddy and I had what I call poor man's stir fry :-)

1lb ground beef

whatever frozen veggies in the house

Soy sauce

Rice

Brown the meat, add frozen veggies and soy sauce to taste and stir it around until veggies are cooked. Dump over some rice and you are done. Looks so gross, but it really is delicious :-) Funny what you come up with when you have very little in the house and you don't want to go to the store!

Sounds good!

My daughter is having green beans and pears tonight for dinner. Doesn't sound like a great combination to me but she doesn't mind. She will not eat her fruit unless she has veggies first. I thought getting her to eat fruit would be easier than veggies but I was wrong!

My husband and I are having bacon-wrapped turkey tenderloins on the grill with sweet corn and potato's (not sure what kind yet).

First of all, that sounds really, really good!

Today, sadly my daughter's and I have to have Mac&Cheese!

I'm a single mother of two daughter's, so to say the least we don't have gourmet meals, but it's fun anyways =]

We're doing Mac&Cheese (fast, good and cheap)

And then for dessert, I'm making my 'famous' chocolate cake that I picked up at Food Maxx =]

I cooked this 5 pound pot-roast on Friday. We're still eating it. Tonight should be the last of it -- cut up into a ratatouille type mix of eggplant, peppers, chilis, potatoes and other goodies.

(My daughter is teenager, and she will pick out the peppers, but eat the rest of it.)

Eureka Pizza is doing a special where if you bring in one canned food item, you get a large pizza for $1.99! So, that's what we're having for dinner tonight...LOL. Nice and easy, which I like seeing as I am 35 weeks with my second.

As for my daughter, not sure. She's one of those rare 2yr old who doesn't like pizza. :)

Not too sure, probably whatever my mom fixes him. I'm working tonight(part time at my old high school job while I'm visiting my family) so I won't be around for dinner.

Well..my little one is my dog so...

He's already eaten for today. Adult dogs only eat once a day. But for a snack, later tonight, I'll give him some of those Vienna Sausages. He loves those.
