Diaper's have a wt on the package so you should have the babies wt first, the hospital send's some home with you. Play matt and stuff that goes on the floor is for when the baby start's going on the floor. I only used nail clippers once and accidentally. cut the baby after that I bite his nails off. the Kitchen sink makes a great baby bath, that you need right away. Travel system, when you travel. Potty around age two, people who force the potty issue have alot of trouble so take that easy, some people do get lucky and the baby start's at around eighteen months.Baby gate, when baby start's getting around. Teething toys when baby start's taken things from you, get round thing's or ones with small grip area, within three weeks of age about a month old don't worry about time frames with development thing's all babies take things at their own pace.Walker and bouncer are not on your list I liked having those and a swing too. The swing can help put a new born to sleep, sleep when the baby does was the best advice I ever got, and don't worry about a clean house for a week or two after you get home, the baby and you will find a rythm.

Your List:

Baby Wipes: You don't need to get an abundance right away because it's not required to wipe after every time they urinate, it will make their bottoms rash easier.

Play Matt: Don't waste your money on these. Most babies don't have patience for these. Or if your baby isn't as active as mine and would enjoy actually sitting. I'd wait until he starts actually reaching which is around 3-4 months.

Baby Toys: Girl give him a box and other weird random safe household objects, my daughter LOVES everything BUT the toys I give her.

Teething Toys: Babies begin to teeth as early as 4 months.

Potty: You can wait until he's 2-3 years old! Plus boys on average take longer to potty train.

Not On Your List, But Suggestions:

Boppy pillow: Even if you're not nursing it's so much easier for your arms to have a support. It will show instructions on how you place him. Trust me. I nursed, but fed with bottle as well and the pillow worked wonders on my posture.

Diaper Bag: You will need this!! It can even be used as your personal purse.

If you go to babiesrus.com and start a registry it will suggest things you may need including the amount or each item. It really helped me some items they suggest you might not need others you don't think you want could be life savers. Try to think of each aspect of babies life and what they will need for that. Mostly babies eat, sleep, and poop. Lol so try to imagine each thing needed for that activity. I also can't recommend these three items enough a swing the plugs in (it's the only place besides with me that LO will sleep), a soft supportive cloth sling (for hands free baby holding), and swaddlers (my LO has problems staying asleep without being swaddled. I also found Playtex drop in bottles to save so much time and space in the kitchen (I only have to boil nipples and I only have 4 bottles with 6 extra nipples) also if your not BF you might want a hand pump to help relieve pressure (just pimp enough to be comfortable)and leak pads until you milk has dried up.

You don't need the gates right now or the teething toys or the play pin I say you will deff need a bounce and a swing and a swaddling blanket I had a baby in April

if your formula feeding, you need bottle and formula. crib sheets. clothes. if your thinking far enough a head for potty training, you might as well add a car seat for when he outgrows the travel system one, and sippy cups, you may want a feeding pillow a swing a bouncer and a front carrier, a diaper bag, just to name a few other things
