My friend, was just on the phone and said ' I hope you dont bring your Baby back in your Range Rover Sport, Mazda Sport or Lambroguine, it will affect the Baby you know'

For starters you wouldn't be able to fit a baby seat in the Lambroguine and i wouldn't take the Mazda Sport because it is too small.

Is a Range Rove Sport really going to affect a Newborn baby, if my Hubby drives carefully?????

I am really Paronoid now, what car do you drive with your kids in????

Hiya hun!

I can't see it affecting the baby in any damaging way at all! The baby won't know the difference to be honest!

The only thing I can assume is the speed the cars can go, if your worried about that, but from experience as a carseat fitter, it's if a carseat will comfortably fit in your car.

I would say the range rover would be the best! From my experience if it is fairly new, you will be able to fit any carseat in with ease. And also it can be put in the back of the car behind the passenger (safest place) with no struggle!

Hope that helped...

While I wouldn't per se call myself a specialist, being a father myself and knowing a thing or two about cars, I can reassure you that there is nothing to worry about. Just make sure the car seat fits well and can be fastened securely.

To be honest, I can't even really imagine how anyone could think it would make a difference. Maybe the safety of the car itself, but that applies as much to yourself as to the baby, as to any passenger.

If you're affraid that lots of bumps will be a problem, then no worry. First of all bumps don't effect babies physically, while they're small they're more flexible. Second, although it could be different for every baby, babies usually like bumps and movement. Taking the baby out in a stroller is always a good way to calm them down, and -unless you live in a smog-city- it's healthy for them as well.

There are some cars where the car seat will not fit in properly.

An example being my husbands 80's Toyota Supra. That might be what she's talkin' about. Call her back make her clarify. Could she be thinking of the accident rates of different cars also. Just make sure the car seat is installed properly. Four door cars rock! -When you have kids/babies.

you have your 5th baby on the way and your friend just now freaked you out with some nonsense like that. The car you drive doesnt affect the baby its the people you know that does. If you believe everything you hear your kids are gonna be messed up from it as well. stop listening to stuff like that and get on with your life.

Only two things would apply. The car seat doesn't fit the car or the vehicle is prone to rollover. Very small cars are more prone to crushing in accidents due to their small size, but as you say, you wouldn't take the small one. SUV's tend to be top heavy, but I think the Range Rover models are set lower, so are less prone to it.

That is so not true.

My baby is going to be brought home in either a 2006 Chevy Malibu or a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am.

I'm due with my first in September, and bought my Scion tC last October (before I met my husband and got preggers). I'm just trying to figure out how to put a stroller in the darn thing. But to answer your answer, if you and anyone else drive safe, baby should be a-ok =)

Er, what did you drive your other 4 around in?

Best take the bus, just to be on the safe side!

Ridiculous.

seriously...grow up and stop asking imaginary, ridiculous questions. Do you really think people believe you???

I think you should bring baby #5 (yeah right) home in a spaceship since your head is way up in the clouds....

Oh, and by the way, it is spelled Lamborghini not Lambroguine. I thought for sure if you "owned" one, you would know how to spell it.

get the nanny to pick the baby up in her car if you are really worried about how your expensive cars affects the baby

or you could get a taxi?

I don't think you have to worry, seeing as how both the luxury vehicles and the baby are both imaginary...
