So I was wondering what your experience with different bottles were in respect to cleaning and feeding. My mom always used just regular baby bottles. However, last night I got a free gift from a store and it included a Playtex brand bottle with " Drop In's" it said it would reduce gas and collic. Just wondering if anyone has used them , or even a different kind?

I used the Born Free bottles for about 2 weeks, then I switched. The only reason I switched to the playtex drop ins was for ease of cleaning. My hands were getting really chapped and red from always washing the born free bottles. With the Playtex drop in system the only thing you really have to wash is the nipples, the rest of the bottle I just rinse off daily, and then at the end of the week I do one big wash and get all of the parts into soapy water.

Playtex drop in system = less time washing and sanitizing! But bottom line is that I liked them both!

All we use now is the drop ins bottles. I got tired of washing bottles all the time so I just started using those continuously. We've used evenflo classic, playtex ventaire, generic bottles, gerber, gerber NUK, and I don't know what else at different points in time...I seriously got tired of always washing and sterilizing bottles twice a day...so I gave up, got about 1/2 dozen of the drop ins bottles (we used ready to feed formula at the time and now use concentrated formula) and mix them all up. I have about a dozen or more bottle nipples and it works out that I run the sterilizer every other day.

My sister used them with two children and loved them. She and her husband both work a lot, and they found them very convenient because they did not require a lot of extra cleaning. They bought a ton and only had to clean them about 2x a week.

I tried them and hated them because I found they leaked. And sometimes I would try to squeeze the air out and would squeeze too hard and it would explode. I like Dr. Browns, which also claims to reduce gas and colic. They are a little pricier and there are four parts per bottle, which require cleaning. I also like Parents Choice, believe it or not. All of them are available without BPA.

I've found Pampers Swaddlers to be the best "newborn" diaper. Once my children got to size 2 diapers we went to the Pampers Baby Dry diapers. We tried both Huggies and Luvs, both were awful and leaked a lot for our children. I would also highly recommend the Pampers Sensitive wipes. The Platex Nurser bottles were my son's favorite. My daughter is breast fed. The formula we used for my son was Enfamil Lipil and we made our own baby food but sometimes we bought the Gerber baby food.

i loveee the Playtex bottles with Drop In's. I used every other kind of bottle imaginable until i used these. they are SO easy to use. when me son used any other bottle he would get really gassy..and then i these and they were wonderfull i recommend them to everyone. You should have a few different bottles to see what works best for your baby. ~ good luck.

i recommend avent bottles to every mother. They have a decent line of bottles that help reduce gas and help with colic. Another major Plus is that the sippy cups by avent are wonderful!!! the lids fit right on the baby bottles!

Playtex drop ins were my favorite. They were easy to clean and none of my kids had any issues with them at all. I tried a few different brands with my first one, but the playtex was the easiest for all of them to latch onto.

Well, I haven't used mine yet, but I have playtex bottles also and drop-in's. As far as bottles go though, make sure they are Biphenol Free AND BPA free. And, glass bottles are safer to use than plastic.

Those work great especially with breastfed babies. I also used the Dr.Brown bottles but they are a pain to clean. My son now uses the super cheap Walmart brand bottles, they are the only ones he'll take.

my son refused anything but Dr. Browns. They have tons of parts in them but they are amazing. He had colic and once I started him on these bottles it went away. I chose not to do drop ins becayse they were just too much work. But the Dr. Browns have been a dream.

I suggest either Tomme Tipee or Advent bottles with colic and gas relief valves in the teats - our daughter was feeding and suffering from colic and gas and since we changed to these she feeds well now.

I use Born Free bottles and I love them. They reduce spit up, are easy to clean and have wide openings for pouring liquid in.
