I actually had this same issue with my 3 month old when he was around that age, except it wasn't soy. What we did was do every other bottle as the old formula and the ones in-between with the new formula. This was after asking his pediatrician's advice. Our son spit up a few times the first couple days and then was completely fine and can switch between to two like a pro. Because your new formula is soy, I would consult her pediatrician. You don't want to give your baby something that could possibly make her sick, and a change from regular formula to soy is quite severe to an infant's digestion.

I work in a daycare and we have some babies that use the formula we offer at our center and use another type at home. It really depends alot on how well your baby can handle the switch. I would talk with your doctor about it if you have enough time before running out. Ask if you can mix the two formulas gradually until you are giving her 100% of the soy type. Then you need to decide which formula your going to continue to use and try to stick with it if you can. ( although we had a mother that bought whatever formula that she had a coupon for and her baby was fine)

She should not get sick. I had to switch my daughter's formula a few times in the first couple of months of her life to find one that suited her best - but be sure you that when you find one that works for her, that you stick to it. If you start using the Similac and she does well, keep using it don't keep switching because of what formula that you have on hand. There are a few ingredients that are different from the Enfamil and Similac but they are essentially the same. Good luck!

NO they are not the same. If you use them interchangably, your baby will most likely experience either diarrhea or consitpation. Is it NOT recommended to switch formulas unless adviced to do so by a doctor. You can try to take the formula to a doctor's office and ask to trade the isomil for what your baby is used to. They sometimes keep samples and would be glad to give the Isomil to the babies that need it.

when I was in the hospital after having my daughter, she was on enfamil...a few weeks after we got home, we switched her to good start. then to soy, and finally to alimentum, (because after all that we found out she had a milk allergy). she was fine. Her poop was a little watery, but that was only because we had her on lactose formula when we didn't know she was allergic. You probably shouldn't switch it as much as I did, but one time will probably be OK. Try not to go back though, and definitely ask your doctor.

she wont get sick but it's good to only stick to one type of milk so if you switch her make sure you stick to that one i rather soy then anything and girl you should look into WIC cause that milk can put a whole in anybodies pockets. Good Luck

It's not really recommend to switch formulas abruptly - their digestive system is so delicate right now. You could call your pediatrician's office to see if they think it would be an issue.

It's formula. So, yes she'll get sick.
